How do you play wild rift

Before you get all jumpy and dive into selecting your favorite champion, the Wild Rift calls for a new league of players.

In fact, there are key differences between Wild Rift and Summoner’s rift (we’ll get to this later).

First, learning the mechanics and changes Riot Games made to Wild Rift will only take 5 minutes of your time.

Are you aiming to be a great champion in Wild Rift? Who doesn’t, right?

What’s New in Wild Rift and How to Play

Controls & Layout

Wild Rift features similar functions and features as League of Legends PC. The biggest difference? The mobile layout.

The controls system for League of Legends Wild Rift features a dual control stick scheme where the left stick is for controlling your character and the right stick for your abilities.

Will this affect your play style? Slightly.

Don’t let this bother you too much though. Seeing as how you’ve already achieved a Mastery score and reached Diamond III in LoL PC, League of Legends Wild Rift gives you a new game system to explore.

Gameplay

Mobile Game Rift Wild

Riot Games created League of Legends Wild Rift from scratch, which means it isn’t a mobile port. Wild Rift brings different game systems along with refreshed champions & animations.

Riot Games altered the control system on mobile to make it easier for players to control champion skills on a mobile phone.

Players will find their champion’s abilities will be easier to control on a touch screen as well, seeing as how you won’t have access to a mouse for controlled maneuvering.

A great champion reference for this would be Ashe. Her Crystal Arrow skill in Wild Rift allows better control rather than simply firing it in a straight line.

Champions such as Jhin, Miss Fortune, or Ezreal who carry long-range skills will automatically zoom out of the camera to make it easier to draw first blood on your enemies.

Now, what about your Creeps Score? For League of Legends Wild Rift, certain skills and auto-attacks will be using a new auto-targeting system.

This shouldn’t be too much of a problem though, right? After all, it shouldn’t be hard to beat your minions landing the last blow on another creep.

Items

Items in League of Legends Wild Rift work the same way in League of Legends PC. The major difference lies in using active items.

Active items will now work as enchantments on a champion’s boots. You’re also limited to one enchant, so you’ll have to improve your strategy and make sure the enchantment you choose will give you the boost and support you need throughout the game.

Game Time

In League of Legends PC, a single game can average between 25 minutes to an hour. Professional league games can last even up to 2 hours!

For League of Legends Wild Rift, the mobile game accommodates players with a game-time of 15 to 18 minutes. That’s roughly half the time a single game would last for LoL PC.

Needless to say, 15 to 18 minutes is perfect for delivering a mobile-friendly platform and especially if you have extra minutes to spare during lunch break.

Phone Compatibility & Specs Needed

The last update Riot Games provided in mobile specs are the following:

For Android: Specs similar Samsung A7: 1.5 GB RAM, Adreno 306 GPU, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 410

For iOS: Specs similar to iPhone 6 and higher

When is the release date for League of Legends Wild Rift?

Riot Games hasn’t made an official release of the game just yet; however, there will be a beta and alpha test starting June.

In fact, invites were randomly sent to a handful of players to help test the game’s stability from June 6 to 8. Riot Games also mentioned that from June 6 to 8, the servers for Wild Rift would only be available from 6 pm to 10 pm.

What Champions are Available in Wild Rift?

At the initial launch of Wild Rift, only 40 champions will be available for players to choose from.

Don’t worry. Your favorite beginner and “broken” champions like Garen and Master Yi are still available in Wild Rift. You’ll still be able to Alpha Strike your enemy champions and kill them in a blink.

Even Yasuo will still be available, giving you easy kills. That is of course if you know how to use his Last Breath and Sweeping Blade skills precisely and timely.

Is Cross-Platform Play Possible in Wild Rift?

No, cross-platform won’t be available. League of Legends Wild Rift is available for Android, IOS, and console platforms; however, LoL PC carries separate game mechanics.

The closest you can expect to see a cross-platform play between the two is if there are any events or themes in the future.

Riot Games also mentioned that allowing cross-platform play for League of Legends Wild Rift mobile and League of Legends PC compromises competitive integrity.

I can understand how exciting this would be; however, Riot Games also mentioned they’re exploring the possibility of introducing cross-platform play in the future.

Most of all, the aim of Riot Games is to make sure the gameplay between players remains fun and fair throughout both platforms.
